Steve Lupky C.I.M., C. Mgr.

Steve Lupky is a Chartered Manager professional, with more than 30 years of leadership, governance, and non-profit board experience across local, provincial, and national organizations. He has served on and chaired numerous boards, bringing a practical, community-focused approach to strategy, oversight, and leadership development.

A long-standing volunteer with Community Futures, Steve serves as Board Chair of Community Futures Manitoba and the Community Futures Pan West Network, supporting rural and remote economic development and job creation across Canada through strong, volunteer-led governance. He is also President and Board Chair of the national board of CIM | Chartered Managers Canada, advancing professional management across the country.

Steve’s public service includes 18 years as an elected Councillor and Deputy Mayor for the Town of Arborg, Manitoba, and six years as a Regional Director with the Association of Manitoba Municipalities. He also served on the Manitoba Municipal Board from 2016 to 2024, including time as acting chair, contributing to fair, transparent municipal decision-making.

In his corporate career, Steve retired as Senior Director, Physical Damage Claims at Manitoba Public Insurance and now serves as a specialist with the Insurance Brokers Association of Manitoba, combining strategic leadership with deep operational experience in the insurance sector. This blend of executive, municipal, and non-profit experience informs his pragmatic, systems-level consulting approach.

Alongside his Chartered Manager designation, Steve holds a BA in Economics from the University of Manitoba, an Advanced Certificate in Management, Leadership & Strategy from the Asper School of Business, a Human Resource Management Diploma and Management Certificate from the University of Winnipeg, and Certificates in Management and Rehabilitation Case Management from the University of Manitoba. He is also a certified leadership and governance facilitator with the Community Futures Leadership Institute and has led many sessions on strategy, governance, and leadership for boards and senior teams.
